About Me
Inspiration
What initially sparked my interest in engineering, biomedical, and automotive fields began in high school when I first joined our FIRST Robotics Competition team. This is where I got my first real hands on experience being able to design and wrench on things, and I was able to see the potential limitless possibilities engineering offered through working with my peers. Prior to this, both my dad, and all my neighbors were into older muscle cars and motorcycles. Being close with my community, I was always surrounded and involved with these things.
This hands on experience is what really pushed me to the Mechanical Engineering program at LMU. The program’s exposure into different fields has peaked my interest in the engineering field, after taking a BME class in my first semester of my senior year. Research with one of my professor’s as well as elective classes have also peaked my interest in material science and component design.
Hobbies
Haircutting
After working at a motorcycle shop in LA for a couple months, I decided it was better for myself to quit for personal reasons and because my entire life revolved around school and work, with a very limited social life. I thought that the best way to learn was to start. Becoming a part-time barber has allowed me to grow into a more outgoing person and helped me learn to create meaningful connections with everyone around me, while still putting allowing me to stand up for myself and create healthy boundaries for a good work life balance.
This is also what has helped peak my interest in the any area where there is growth. This skill is something that I can never be perfect at and there is always a way to become better.
